I keep scraps of paper on my desk to jot down any little thing that I think might be important or witty or clever or rewarding or any combination of the above. Right now it says:
"Got a cramp in one hand. Massaged it with the other... hand massages causing cramps in your OTHER hand."
Then there's an arrow pointing to it and it says: "That's funny, right?"
So, not only am I asking myself at a further date to determine the comedic value of this musing, BUT, were anyone (Mr. Subjunctive) to come and look at the paper, they would be prompted to come up with a response as well.
My father once wrote on the underside of a wooden block: "Why look under here?" When I read it, I thought to myself: "Joe." Because Joe is what I call myself, sometimes. "Joe, he wrote that there, knowing that there IS no reason to look under this block, but knowing that someone WOULD."
Now I'm thinking about how the THOUGHT that he had at that moment in his neuronal firing pattern was TRASMITTED to me at another place (in space and) time, via his writing (motor skills, certain levels of psychological function for words and context) and my reading (visual perception, processing.)
