And it hits you again and again that you're an adult now. Nobody is going to set up your dentist appointments, tell you how to eat or when to shower. You have to know when to do laundry. You have to pay bills. Moisturizing and rubbing different creams onto ailments becomes a daily occurence.
Your feet hurt. Your ass hurts. Your joints hurt.
Birthdays suck progressively more and more. Especially when you can't drink as much as you used to be able to... Cuts and scrapes take longer and longer to heal. Your hair begins to thin. On your head, I mean, because it grows more on your ass and the region thereabouts--
Yes, my friends, we're all getting older. When we fall, it takes longer to get up-- and we wonder why there's such a hurry. Stubbing your toe becomes one of the most painful experiences in your life. But at least you're allowed to CURSE. Wisdom teeth get yanked. Arthritis sets in to all of those joints you used to play with when you were young.
Aging is a bitch. But at least you only have to do it once.
