Since that fateful bullet shattered our dreams in Dallas, and probably since way before, Republicans and Democrats have vied for power in this county with the only real winner being apathy. This whore of laziness and complacency enlists and recruits thousands of distraught idealists, forced to accept this harsh reality. It’s too easy to surrender. It’s too easy to let dreams die and acquiesce to the desires of the greedy. Yes, friends, Apathy was the only winner these days, and the only loser was freedom. Independent thought. Evil was running amuck—not in any biblical sense, but in the direction we were pointed for the future. Would we be a society of love and knowledge, brotherhood and togetherness—or would we sharpen and emphasize the divisions between all the people of the world? Or worse, would we fight our planet to death in the name of our “peaceful” gods? A modern religious war would prove to be the greatest exercise in human stupidity—a pissing contest of whose imaginary friend has the bigger imaginary dick. A test of who could let more blood and slaughter more infidels in the name of their obviously more peaceful God?
