So the other night Alysse was feeling pretty shitty (actually, we were all in need of a break from life) and so we decided to build a fort in my living room. So Chase drags the matress off my bed and throws it in the middle of the room. Meaghan strips the couches bare of cushions and we manage to fashion a mop-handle to hold up these sheets. Anyways, as far as forts go, it was pretty fabulous. Then we all piled inside and watched some nonsenical old SNL and a movie that I'm sure Sam still remembers: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. That's right Baby.
So then Meaghan calls all the other floor fellows and some come to check out this fort. Long story--- fairly short, I ended up sleeping in the fort that night as my bed was devoid of matress. It was entertaining, but not AMAZING.
So I'm taking Intro-Latin I. Which is pretty laxxxx... and I gotta say, Lienau was an amazing teacher. I'm missing her more and more from just seeing how the profs. teach here. She should work in the McGill classics department.
Also, I have to give a 7 minute presentation on how/why one would measure a fish's gill. Today in Bio Methods lab we measured the diameters of saplings up on the mountain. YAY for university field trips (this will be the only one, EVER, I've been reassured.)
So Voting for Ralph Nader. Rearranging furniture in my room. Buying more Bob Marley posters. Drinking at Bar Des Pins all the time. Not affording my textbooks. Waiting for my loan-cheque. Being a floor-fellow. Super Troopers on the big screen on lower campus.
PS. Second year is sooo much better than first year. It's the same, but with better classes, an easier course load (maybe thats just me), less nervousness and TONS of friends.
