CBC News:U.S., Britain offer revised UN resolution on Iraq: "It gives the interim government the option to ask foreign troops to remain in the country.
It also states that Iraqi security forces will 'operate under the authority of the interim government of Iraq and its successors.' The previous resolution did not address who controlled the country's security forces."
