Today is Greg's birthday and earlier today I just came up with a couple of silly rhymes to celebrate.
Happy Birthday, Greggers... Gregor Mendel... Gregopolis...
Greg, Greg, what can I say?
Yours is the first face I see everyday.
Through physics and calculus, we both endure,
Hating our CAPA, that’s always for sure.
I’ve gotten to know you through hygiene and stress
And I’ve got to say that I’m very impressed.
Though I’m always pressuring you to drink,
Your role ensures that I always think.
So maybe we’ll never know the secrets of time,
But if you ask me, that’s still just as fine.
Someday, before you make it to Mars,
I’d like to take you out to a couple of bars.
So if you ever do reach the stars,
Always know that I won’t be too far.
You’re one of those friends I’m trying to keep,
For all those times you’ve saved me a seat.
So now you’re 19 and we’re moving out,
And I know that day will make us all pout.
Yours is the influence I’ll miss the most.
To you we all give 3-cheers and a toast.
With calculus help right down the hall,
Next year I’ll be trained to give you a call.
Greg, I appreciate all that you do.
May all your dreams be happy and true.
The scholar and painter that we’ve grown to love
Fits on our floor, just like a glove.
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Who else would deal with me everyday?
Happy birthday, Greg, with all of my heart,
Without you my days just wouldn’t start.
