the philosophy-ness lately of the blogs is intense.... (and SAM, shut up, your blog is funny as hell, sometimes i have no idea what you're talking about, but that's not the point. )
well the weekend shaped up pretty damn well. seth's house follows suit and is amazing, of course. snowboarding has definite potential to be completely fun.. (when skidway isn't the only trail i can make it down without falling). oh well, i've got all
season. saturday night we chilled and watched the half disturbing, half funny Thursday (including a scene where a guy gets raped by this girl, and just as she's going at it again she gets shot and her blood sprays all over the guy, then the guy who shot her
comes and starts talking about how he's going to mutilate the first guy....). thanks to all my friends who helped me start to get the feel for boarding: seth on sunday, who was completely nice and stuck with me a lot as i fell and got up and did heel turns... and
then sam of course, who, being not as horribly good as everyone else, hung on skidway with me for much of monday, and nate who helped me get the toe turn, and who is an excellent showboard-dancing partner (as he can basically board down the mountain carrying me), not to forget jill and dana who both yelled out pointers and excitement when i got my toe turns and fell with me off the lifts "to make me feel better".
sunday night we proved the old 'where there's a will there's a way' thing correct, and had a quiet party chez jill. it was a good time, with corona and raspberry twist (which, when mixed with cranberry juice tastes nothing like alcohol and makes us happy), and good company.
last night after a fun drive home with jill and nate, jill and i went over to seth's in hopes of nice hot hottubbing to soothe our (my) hurt muscles. however, when we got there, and ran outside in our bathing suits and stuck our feet in, it was freezing. instead we had a tight conversation...we talked about everything, from everyone's point of view.... this is ambiguous. it was interesting becuase seth has a very different outlook than jill (god) or i. some things he said just stuck. he's honest about what he says... a definite important quality. but it was sweet, and seth, we're going to invade your house reguarly, i mean look how much fun we had... we're hilarous. we went back this morning and did hot tub and then took hot showers (seperately!) after, which was great. it was like we were roommates or something. jill and i were talking about how we shouldn't waste any time... we should basically make it our intent to have as much fun as possible... so let's work on that.
